2024 HYUNDAI IONIQ 6

I experienced a safety critical failure in my 2024 Hyundai Ionic 6. While attempting to start the vehicle, the car displayed a red 12 Volt battery warning light, a battery discharge warning, and then refused to enter ready mode. The vehicle would only shift into neutral and was completely undrivable. After sitting for many hours, the vehicle started again, which is consistent with an intermittent ICCU/DC-DC converter dropout. This type of failure is known to cause loss of power and has been…

While driving a 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 at approximately 10,000 miles, the vehicle experienced a sudden, catastrophic Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) failure with no advance warning. The vehicle instantly experienced a total electrical shutdown while the car was on the ramp. The failure completely bypassed and disabled standard safety redundancies: the electronic parking brake/emergency brake system failed , and the 12-volt backup battery died instantly, making it impossible to activate…

NHTSA COMPLAINT — SHORT VERSION I am reporting a persistent, unresolved, safety-related steering defect in my 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 (leased 10/12/2024). Beginning in September 2025 at approximately 15,412 miles, the vehicle exhibits: (1) uncontrolled steering wheel shifting left and right at highway speeds; (2) hard pulling to the left when accelerating or decelerating; and (3) the vehicle swaying or jerking within its lane without driver input. I described the issue to the dealer as pretty…

Engage parking brake when parking vehicle. warning displayed in the instrument cluster. Recall 272 - ICCU Ioniq 6 : ICCU fuse and update were required. Dealership ONLY did update. Did not replace fuse. Vehicle was updated for Recall 272 on 2/19/2025. Jenkins Hyundai Service Mgr, Savannah, confirmed on 5/18/2026 that this information is correct. In March 2026, the power seating failed to operate. This is directly related to Recall 272. However, when the vehicle was taken in for service, the dealership failed to diagnose and ONLY repaired pieces related to the seat. The vehicle was…

2023 HYUNDAI IONIQ 6
Filed May 5, 2026
In November of 2025 the vehicle displayed a Check Eletrical System error message. Shortly thereafter the vehicle decelerated to under 10mph as we were turning into traffic. We were able to drive it home (less than 1mi away) and then called the Dealership. The car was then towed to the dealer (but needed a jump as the 12v battery had drained). The dealer diagnosed a failure of the ICCU and replaced it. The vehicle was in the shop for approximately 2 weeks. More recently, on May 3rd of 2026,…
